The Active Retirement Ireland Trade and Tourism Show 2017, which will take place on Tuesday 23rd May in Dublin’s RDS, celebrates all that is good about ageing in Ireland and will focus on areas such as health, activity, financial security, travel, holidays, lifelong learning, social and cultural activities, sports, cooking, fashion, investments, and legal advice.
Launching the event, nine-time GAA All-Star Pat Spillane, who has been working to further the cause of rural Ireland as Ambassador for the Action Plan for Rural Development, said he was pleased to be involved with Active Retirement Ireland again.

“Active Retirement groups are at the heart of their communities across the country, and this show celebrates what this great country has to offer for older people," Mr Spillane said.
"Between places to go and things to do, Ireland is a fantastic place for people of all ages, and it’s great to get the best of Irish industry and tourism under one roof for one day.”
The event is sponsored by Hidden Hearing, whose Managing Director Stephen Leddy said: “We are delighted to be involved with the Active Retirement Ireland Trade and Tourism Show for the first time this year.
"We’ve been working with Active Retirement Ireland for some time now, and this event is a real showcase for active ageing in Ireland, celebrating our older people and valuing their contribution to society.
"We’re delighted that our support means this is a free event for everyone.”
