First Eastern Region North Trip a Roaring Success

The Eastern Region North held their first ever regional outing recently, as 90 members from 7 Active Retirement Associations took three buses from  Dublin City to the beautiful county of Wexford for a day-trip to the seaside town of Gorey.

Greeted by National Treasurer Kevin Molloy and his clubmates in Gorey ARA, the group were taken to the Loch Garman Arms Hotel where they were served a sumptious 4-course banquet by the very accommodating staff.

After the meal, Regional Development Officer Marie Colgan led the singing and recitation, while local members of Gorey ARA joined in with jokes, songs and stories. The finest of music was played and dozens joined in the line dancing and ballroom dancing. Everyone was agreed that the day out was a huge success.
