Approximately 10,000 people in Ireland die each year from heart attacks, stroke and other circulatory diseases – more deaths than breast cancer, prostate cancer and bowel cancer combined. And with an estimated 30,000 people living in the community with disabilities as a result of a stroke, it makes strokes the biggest cause of acquired disability.
So we need more events of this kind to really make a difference. For fundraising support, please contact Nancy Ward at the Irish Heart Foundation by emailing nward@irishheart.ie or on 01 668 5001.
Thank you for your support!
