The Dundrum-based Dublin County Choir's annual charity concert will be on Saturday October 19 in St John's Church, Ballinteer at 8 pm and will feature an award-winning choral work,  'Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo'.

This witty presentation of the famous biblical tale written by Michael Flanders of the famous duo Flanders and Swann will be sung by the 120-strong choir with soloist  Ciaran Judge. In contrast the concert will also include excerpts from Carmina Burana and the modern 'A Little Jazz Mass' penned by Bob Chilcott a member of the famous King's Singers.  The musical directors of the choir are Colin Block and John Dexter.

Adding to the community spirit of the evening will be the support of the popular Rathfarnham Concert Band under the direction of Vincent Kennedy.

Tickets are normally €15 (children €10) from St John's Parish Office 4994203 or any member of the choir. Over 65s can get tickets for just €12.

Patrons are reminded to bring their own cushion !
