Age & Opportunity Announce Bursaries
Have you got a dream? A burning ambition? If you had a little help, would you do something about it? Age & Opportunity are delighted to launch two bursaries as part of their 25 Year celebrations.
The Life is for Living Bursary is €5,000 for someone aged 60 or over to spend on an amazing adventure to finally fulfil that opportunity that has burned in their heart for all of these years. Do you want to take scuba diving lessons off the Great Barrier Reef? Would you dance at the Carnival in Rio? Should you learn to cook from an Italian mama? Or how about heading to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for some music lessons, or even to the hills of Donegal?
The Voltage Bursary is €5,000 as well as some in-kind support from Age & Opportunity for an older group who want to make a difference in their community. If you're part of a group that sees a need in your community and wants to do something about it, this might be the push your group needs to do something extraordinary that will make a big difference. Projects might be environmental, educational or creative. We are particularly excited about intergenerational projects but only ones where the older group are the agents of the change.
