Castle Homecare, the Irish-owned and managed home care services provider for older people, has paired with broadcaster Brendan Courtney to launch ‘Thinking Ahead’, a series of FREE talks aimed at encouraging older people and their families to plan for the future.
The event, which is being held as part of Age Action’s Positive Ageing Week, will be officially opened by the Minister for Older People, Jim Daly, TD at the Stillorgan Park Hotel from 09.30 am – 2.00 pm on Thursday 28th September 2017.
Thinking Ahead will consist of a series of talks on future proofing including; Minister Jim Daly, Minister for Older People, who will offer some insight on the Government’s proposed plans to extend the Fair Deal scheme to Home Care; Brendan Courtney, Broadcaster and Fashion Designer; Christine King, Director Castle Homecare; Justin Moran, Age Action; Jim Coffey – who will give an account of his successful Future Proofing project and Sgt James Malone who will discuss safety for older people.
